What we believe

At Saracen Care we believe it’s all about the Individual.

We work to deliver a service that’s tailor made to assist our service users live independent and fulfilled lives.

We believe in empowerment and maximising an Individual’s potential; providing choice; increasing independence; ensuring a safe and secure setting; improving health; promoting wellbeing and facilitating identity and community inclusion.

We also believe that our Care and Support staff are the most important people in our Team, where communication is at the heart of our operations. A staff team that is listened to, included, developed and valued is fundamental to Person Centred Care.

Choice, Personalisation and Empowerment

Saracen Care enables greater choice and independence for supported individuals, facilitating good quality and safe housing in locations of choice. At Saracen Care we aim to encourage and motivate people to become more self-reliant, realising their wants and desires via a positive risk approach. Our service is flexible enough to allow specific settings and activities to be tailored to each individual.

Supporting people to become less dependent is one way we must measure our success. We pride ourselves in teaching, guiding and assisting in day to day living, increasing involvement and confidence in undertaking everyday tasks such as maintaining personal hygiene, shopping, household chores, use of public transport, budgeting and managing finances. We use a number of Outcome Focussed Tools to track and review achievements as well as the realisation of significant goals, such as going on holiday, further education, paid and voluntary work.

Our Outcome Tools include Life Skills Books, Your Goals and Memory Books.

In addition, we can facilitate activities which encourage interests such as keeping fit, working with animals, gardening, photography, art and art therapy, horse riding and days out. See our Gallery for latest activities.
